Westmount Tradition Charity Tennis Tournament

Did you know there are more than 58,600 individuals in Waterloo region who struggle to afford to put food on the table and need food assistance?

Wendy G. is one of those people. Without an RRSP (registered retirement savings plan) and only a low OAS (Older Adult Subsidy) and CPP (Canadian Pension Plan), Wendy is a low-income senior who relies on The Food Bank of Waterloo Region for support. Every week, she is grateful to receive a hamper filled with a variety of food items.

By supporting the 2024 Westmount Tradition Charity Tennis Tournament, you help The Food Bank ensure people like Wendy don’t go hungry. For every dollar raised through this event, The Food Bank can provide two healthy and nutritious meals to those accessing food assistance through the Community Food Assistance Network.

The Network is a collaborative effort, comprising more than 120 agencies and community programs working together to provide food and essential services for people in need. This vital network is the lifeline for individuals and families in Waterloo region facing food insecurity, ensuring that they receive the support they need.

Each year, with the unwavering support of our community, The Food Bank acquires, coordinates, and distributes more than 6.8 million pounds of fresh, frozen, and non-perishable food to the Network.

Your participation in the 2024 Westmount Tradition Charity Tennis Tournament not only adds to this impressive effort but also helps in creating a nourished community.
